Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, one of the most celebrated games of super heroes of all time.
In the plot, Mayor Quincy Sharp, former director of Arkham Asylum, Gotham walled entire neighborhoods, creating Arkham City, a city that functions as a super-prison. The only existing rule is that its inhabitants can not leave. Even the villains run the town, with Hugo Strange as a director. Batman, of course, does not like it - and is now patrolling the place.
Hugo Strange was created in the comics magazine in Detective Comics 36 by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1940. Gifted IQ that rivals that of Batman himself, he is a brilliant psychiatrist, a former employee of Arkham Asylum, who becomes obsessed with the hero. In his comic madness just giving him a straitjacket in his own home institution, but not before, using logic, he discovers that Bruce Wayne is Batman.
The title brings new equipment such as smoke bomb detector and signal transmission and more villains, including Catwoman and Two Face. Another novelty concerns the villainous Riddler, who put people into traps that should be disabled by the Dark Knight. In addition, each track can take the hero to other tracks even more elaborate, which may or may not be surrounded by its own pitfalls. The missions that involve the Riddler not part of the main narrative, but as a game will run nearly parallel.
Batman Arkham City will be released in October for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
